Volunteer Opportunities

SUA is blessed with a long history of gracious volunteers who invest their precious time, talent and treasure into making SUA the place it is today. Please consider getting involved in one of the following areas.

Academics/Student Life: Volunteer to be a guest speaker virtually or in one of our many classes. Teachers are always looking for subject matter experts and “real life” examples that can reiterate and enhance their teachings.
Time Commitment: 1 hour during the week. Dependent on teacher schedule.
Athletics: Be a coach for one of our many teams. Don’t have enough time to be the head coach? Consider getting involved as an assistant or come in and mix up a practice with your skills.
Time Commitment: Varies on season and position.

Class Agent: Serve as a liaison to your classmates and the Alumnae Office. Promote the use of our Alumnae Portal, MySaintUrsula and inform classmates of Association news, ways to get involved, keep SUA informed of classmates’ updates and encourage class participation in alumnae events.
Time Commitment: 1-3 hours/month on your own time.

Diversity: The Saint Ursula Alumnae Office aims to cultivate student-alumnae connections, strengthen the alumnae of color network and enhance alumnae engagement programs.
Time Commitment: 1 hour 4x/year and quarterly events

Spiritual: Andrea Gruber Brunsman ’90, Vice President of Ursuline Identity offers weekly faith experiences that support and encourage SUA’s Ursuline values and identity. All services are available in-person in the Saint Ursula Chapel or virtually. If attending in-person, hand sanitizer will be provided, and masks are required.
  • Monday Meditations are offered at 3:15 p.m. in the SUA chapel or virtually via Google Meet
  • Communion Services are available on Tuesday and Thursday at 8:15 am in the chapel or virtually via Google Meet.
  • Group Rosary is offered on Wednesdays at 8:15 a.m. in our chapel or available virtually via Google Meet.
  • Alumnae Mass is offered at 9:00 am in the Saint Ursula Chapel on the third Thursday of every month (from September through May). To attend virtually, visit the calendar on MySaintUrsula for the google meet link.

Paw Pals Mentor: Paw Pals is a program thoughtfully designed and crafted by leaders in the Students to Future Alumnae (SFA) program and the Advancement Team. We are always looking for alumnae to be a part of this student and alumnae mentorship program! The Office of Alumnae Relations will pair you with a current junior or senior based on your field of study/work, SUA attributes, and location. The time commitment is based upon your interactions with your mentee.
Time Commitment: 1-3 hours/month on your own time.

Reunion Party Planning Committee: Are you interested in planning your class reunion and events? If so, we need your help to make your reunion weekend a special time for you and your classmates!
Time Commitment: Time varies on event and time of year

Special Events: We always need alumnae assistance at the Annual Christmas Tea and the SUA Palooza.
Time Commitment: Varies on committee and volunteer position.
The Christmas Tea is scheduled on a Sunday in early December and the SUA Palooza is generally on a Saturday in early February. Volunteer as little as an hour or the entire event.
