Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer Opportunities

SUA is blessed with a long history of gracious volunteers who invest their precious time, talent and treasure into making SUA the place it is today. Please consider getting involved in one of the following areas.
Class Agent: Serve as a liaison to your classmates and the Alumnae Office. Promote the use of our new Alumnae Portal and inform classmates of Association news, ways to get involved, keep SUA informed of classmates’ updates and encourage class participation in alumnae events.
Time Commitment: 1-3 hours/month on your own time.
Academics/Student Life: Volunteer to be a guest speaker in one of our many classes. Teachers are always looking for subject matter experts and “real life” examples that can reiterate and enhance their teachings.
Time Commitment: 1 hour during the week. Dependent on teacher schedule.
Athletics: Be a coach for one of our many teams. Don’t have enough time to be the head coach? Consider getting involved as an assistant or come in and mix up a practice with your skills.
Time Commitment: Varies on season and position.
Spiritual: Join the Ursuline Sisters' prayer group when they meet four times a year in Chapel. Feel welcome to attend our all-school masses. Volunteer to read or sing at an Alumnae event/mass.
Time Commitment: 1 hour 4x/year. Mass dates will be posted in the monthly ‘Bulldog Bulletin.’
Diversity: Join the diversity committee that meets four times a year and brainstorm ways to celebrate and enhance diversity in our school community. Be a guest speaker in the Salad Bowl Series or simply attend and see what it’s all about.
Time Commitment: 1 hour 4x/year, and 1 hour during the week for Salad Bowl Series.
Advancement: The annual Saint Ursula Fund Phone-a-thon welcomes Alumnae involvement in soliciting and thanking our community for their time, talent and treasure. Contact your old classmates and catch up! Bond with current students that participate and demonstrate what it means to "give back!"
Paw Pals Mentor:    Paw Pals is a program thoughtfully designed and crafted by leaders in the Students for Advancement (SFA) program and the Advancement Team. We are looking for alumnae to be a part of this student and alumnae mentorship program! The Office of Alumnae Relations will pair you with a current junior or senior based on your field of study/work, SUA attributes, and location. The time commitment is based upon your interactions with your mentee.
Time Commitment: 1-3 hours/month on your own time.

Reunion Party Planning Committee: Are you interested in planning your class reunion and events? If so, we need your help to make your reunion weekend a special time for you and your classmates!
Time Commitment: Time varies on event and time of year

Special Events: We always need alumnae assistance at the Annual Christmas Tea and the SUA Ball.
Time Commitment: Varies on committee and volunteer position.
The Christmas Tea is scheduled on a Sunday in mid-December and the SUA Ball is generally on a Saturday in early February. Volunteer as little as an hour or the entire event.
