Students Participate in College Athletic Signing Ceremony

Student Athletes

Saint Ursula Academy celebrated with seven seniors who participated in the spring athletic signing ceremony on April 25 to show their intent to play collegiate sports in the fall. Classmates, families, coaches and staff attended the signing event to congratulate these talented and hard-working student-athletes. 
 
Mary Anhofer will play soccer next year at Mt. St. Joseph University
Mallory Como will play soccer next year at the University of Toledo
Alexx Forman will play soccer next fall at the United States Merchant Marine Academy
Sophie Garrett will swim next year at Washington and Jefferson College
Courtney McKeown will swim next year at Denison University
Alli Shattuck will bowl next year at Wright State University
Sophia Wampler will play soccer next year at the University of Illinois
 
Mary Anhofer
Mary Anhofer will play soccer next season at Mount St Joseph University located in Cincinnati Ohio. Mount St. Joseph University is a Division III school that competes in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference. Mary will call the Schueler Athletic Complex her home while she competes for the Lions.
 
Mary is the proud daughter of Joe and Julie Anhofer and resides in West Chester. 
 
Mary played soccer for the SUA Bulldogs all four years. She bowled her sophomore through senior year and played softball her senior year. 
 
Mary’s SUA awards and accomplishments include breaking the soccer record for most assists in one game, which is five (5), and she received the Bulldog award.
 
Mary also earned the Bowling Heart and Soul award and honorable mention in 10th-12th grades.
 
Mary’s GGCL awards and accomplishments brought her 2nd Team All-League in soccer. In Mary’s club team, she was a 2-time President’s Cup champion. 
 
At SUA, Mary was an SUA Medical Society leader and Student Council-Senior Class Co-President. 
 
Mallory Como
Mallory Como will play soccer next season at The University of Toledo located in Toledo, Ohio. Toledo is a Division I school that competes in the Mid American Athletic Conference. Mallory will call the Paul Hotmer soccer Field her home while she competes for the Rockets. 
 
Malloy is the proud daughter of Linda and Perry Como and resides in Hyde Park. 
 
Mallory played soccer for the SUA Bulldogs for all four years.
 
Mallory’s SUA awards and accomplishments include First Honors in all quarters as SUA and she is a Member of National Honor Society. 
 
Mallory was named the GGCL Second team in soccer and received All-State Academic and All-Southwest Academic awards.
 
With her club team, Mallory’s accomplishments include Futsal National Champion, ID2 Camp, and ECNL American Cup National Champion. 
 
Mallory played an integral role in the SUA Girls Athletic Association (GAA) Board at school. 
 
 
Alexx Forman
Alexx Forman will play soccer next season at the United States Merchant Marine Academy located in Kings Point, NY. The United States Merchant Marine Academy is a Division III school that competes in Skyline Conference. Alexx will call the Bartoszek Field her home while she competes for the Mariners.
 
Alexx is the proud daughter of Keith and Alisa Forman and resides in Anderson. 
She played soccer for the SUA Bulldogs for 4 years-JVA for one and Varsity for three.
 
Alexx was named Second Team GGCL in soccer. Her Club team awards and accomplishments include The Disney Showcase Champions, and the OSSL Champions. 
 
Alexx’s SUA Awards and Accomplishments include; Athletic academic honors, First Honors, and National Honor Society.  Her clubs and student outreach include leader of the Bulldog Boost Coffee Shop, Social Justice Club, and SUA Medical Society leader.
 
 
Sophie Garrett
Sophie Garrett will swim next season at Washington and Jefferson College located in Washington, Pennsylvania.  Washington and Jefferson College is a Division III school that competes in the Centennial Athletic Conference. Sophie will call the Henry Memorial Natatorium her home while she competes for the Presidents. 
 
Sophie is the proud daughter of Jen and Chad Garrett and resides in Newtown. 
 
Sophie was awarded letters in swimming all four years. For her club team she was awarded Swimmer of the Month.
 
Sophie’s SUA Clubs and Outreach include Competitive Crafting Club and Astronomy Club. Outside of SUA she participates in a Volunteer organization call Petpartners. 
 
Courtney McKeown
Courtney McKeown will swim next season at Denison University located in Granville, Ohio. Denison University is a Division III school that competes in the North Coast Athletic Conference. Courtney will call the Trumbull Aquatics Center her home while she competes for the Big Red Buzzards.
 
Courtney is the proud daughter of Chris and Deanna McKeown and resides in Montgomery Ohio. 
 
Courtney was awarded letters in swimming all four years. She was a four-time State qualifier, State finals qualifier, SUA School Record Holder in the 200 Medley Relay, and a member of the State runner-up relay team. 
 
Courtney’s SUA Awards and Accomplishments include National Honor Society and First Honors for academics. 
 
Courtney made the first team GGCL 3 times, was a member of 3 GGCL winning teams, a GGCL record holder in the 200 medley relay, 2022 butterfly GGCL champ, and was part of multiple GGCL winning relays.
 
Courtney was a 2022 All-American in the 200 Medley Relay and 200 Free Relay. She was named a two-time Southwest Ohio First Team. 
 
Courtney’s club team awards and accomplishments include being a member of the Mason Manta Rays high-performance group, and futures meet qualifier. 
 
SUA’s clubs and student outreach include Ambassadors, Students for Advancement, and the SUA Medical Society. 
 
 
Alli Shattuck
Alli Shattuck will bowl next season at Wright State University located in Dayton, Ohio. Wright State is a Division I school that competes in the Horizon Athletic Conference. Alli will call the Poelking Lanes South her home while she competes for the Raiders. 
 
Alli is the proud daughter of Jason and Kelly Shattuck and resides in Delhi.  
 
Alli bowled for the SUA Bulldogs for 4 years and played softball for 2. 
 
Alli’s SUA Awards and Accomplishments include; 3x Bulldog Award and she also holds All Individual Bowling Record awards at SUA. 
 
Alli bowled the first perfect 300 game in the history of the GGCL, received 2nd team GGCL 2020, First team 2021-2023, and was Player of the Year for the GGCL in 2022 and 2023. 
 
Alli was Second Team All-City in 2021 and First Team All-City in 2022. 
 
Alli’s club team accomplishments include a Storm Youth Championship Bronze Medal
 
At SUA, she was elected as a member of the student council, and a member of the Ohio Junior Classical League.
 
Sophia Wampler
Sophia Wampler will play soccer next season at The University of Illinois located in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois.  The University of Illinois is a Division I school that competes in the Big 10 Conference. Sophia will call the Demirjian Park her home while she competes for the fighting Illini. 
 
Sophia is the proud daughter of Jeff and Elvira Wampler and resides in Mount Lookout. 
 
Sophia played Varsity soccer for 1 year and JV basketball for 1 for the SUA Bulldogs. 
 
Sophia’s GGCL Awards and Accomplishments include First Team GGCL.  She was also named Cincinnati Enquirer Division 1 First Team All Stars, Division 1 first team All-Southwest Ohio, and she was selected to play in the Cincinnati All Star game, and voted Cincinnati Soccer Athlete of the Week.

  • Girls Academy National Champion 2021
  • Country of Peru U15 and U17 National Team 2019-2022
  • United States Futsal Youth National Team Member; 2018

  • Played in 5 National Championship Games during youth career 
 
SUA Clubs and Student Outreach include the National Honor Society and the Spanish National Honor Society. She was co-President of the Hispanic and Latino Organization. Sophia was a Hands Across Campus Board Member and started the Free Kicks for Kids nonprofit, where she served as President.
