“Our Voices of Giving honorees represent the true spirit of philanthropy and their gifts are enhancing the quality of life for our community, now and in the future,” said Sue Ellen Stuebing, vice president of the board of The Greater Cincinnati Planned Giving Council. “We thank them not only for their generosity but also for allowing us to recognize them. By doing so, they are inspiring others in our community to demonstrate that everyone can make a lasting impact by leaving a legacy.

Mary Kay had a successful career and retired from Cincinnati Bell and its spinoff, Convergys, where she served in many capacities; the last position was a SVP in Human Resources for the IT Group. She became a Saint Ursula trustee in 2006. She was instrumental in forming the Human Resource Committee at Saint Ursula. She served as Finance Chair for two years. She was also Chair of the Board from 2010 to 2012.

She played a critical role in the strategic planning for the future of SUA. Mary Kay was a key member of the Board that created an assessment tool used to create and maintain a Board that is balanced in skill set, gender, geographics and demographics. She implemented processes making the board and school staff work effectively and collaboratively.

She has relentlessly given of her time, talent and treasure. She repeatedly helped the current administration when positions opened up in the Advancement Department. She lends her expertise in many areas: She played a critical role in the Saint Ursula 100 year celebration when she researched and shared information on each and every one of the Ursulines of Cincinnati Sisters since the beginning of the order in the early 1900’s. MK just worked with the Senior Capstone Class in teaching the students effective time management skills. She serves on the SUA Capital Campaign planning committee.

She also served as the Chair of Saint Joseph Home

Mary Kay felt her education at Saint Ursula Academy helped pave the way for a successful and rewarding personal and professional life. She has been giving back ever since! She is married to Glenn Hauser and has two stepchildren.

She is a consummate volunteer; one who has made Saint Ursula a very special place!

Not only has she given of her time and talent she has also given of her treasure in many of the campaigns Saint Ursula has held including: the SUA Ball, the Annual Fund, the Arlene Fox Keller Student Center, the Harold C.
