Saint Ursula Crew Members Celebrate Award Winning Season with Cincinnati Junior Rowing Club

May 2016, Saratoga, NY - You don't need to live in the northeast to compete with the top rowers in the country. Cincinnati and several Saint Ursula students made a strong showing at the Saratoga Invitation for rowing, in Saratoga. NY this spring.

The Varsity Crew girls team, part of the Cincinnati Junior Rowing Club (CJRC) traveled to Saratoga, NY to compete in the Saratoga Invitations in late April. Several Saint Ursula students are members of the team.

The Saratoga Invitational is America's largest spring race featuring 10 lanes of 1500 meter racing and attracts the top crews of the Northeast. It is classified as a clash of titans as the scholastic teams and non-scholastic teams race head to head for an early season peek at the high school rowing landscape. There were 56 teams represented and over 1300 entries for the multiple races. Every Saint Ursula student on the CJRC team earned a medal each of the two days of the competition... and the competition was tough!  It was an impressive showing for all of the CJRC crews, girls and boys.
