Seven Saint Ursula Academy Athletes Participate in College Signing Day

Spring Signing

Saint Ursula Academy celebrated with seven seniors who participated in the spring athletic signing ceremony on April 30 to show their intent to play collegiate sports in the fall. Classmates, families, coaches and staff attended the signing event to congratulate these talented and hard-working student-athletes. 

Brynna Hall - Colby College (Lacrosse)
Kate Sullivan - Depauw University (Lacrosse)
Mollie Finley - Benedictine University (Soccer)
Audrey Leurck  -Princeton University (Rowing)
Sydney Herr - TCU (Swimming)
Emily Jennewein - Florida Southern (Tennis)
Aaliyah Rush - University of Kentucky (Track and Field)
 
Brynna Hall will play Lacrosse at Colby College. The Division 3 Colby Mules compete in the New England Small College Athletic Conference. Brynna will play her games next season at Silfen Field & Track Complex in Waterville, Maine. Brynna is the proud daughter of Rick and Kari Hall and resides in Newtown. Kate is in her fourth year of lacrosse. She also played field hockey. The most accomplished goalie to play at SUA Brynna has broken ALL of the Saint Ursula team save records. She has also broken the State of Ohio save record with ___.
 
In the GGCL, she was named lacrosse First Team All-Star in 2021-2022 and 2022-2023. She had the most saves in freshman, sophomore, and junior years in the GGCL. Her senior season is ongoing. 
 
Brynna was named Ohio Regional 2nd Team Division 1 and is on track to break the State of Ohio career save record. 
 
At SUA, and on her club team, she received 4 player of the game pins during my fall season this year, was selected as an Under Armour 150 athlete, was selected for the Ohio Regional team 2 years in a row, and was selected to play on the True National team 
 
She also plays Field Hockey and was named First Team All-Star in 2023-2024.
At Saint Ursula, she is president of the Students to Future Alumnae (SFA) club, is a member of the Social Justice club, and is a member of the National Honor Society. 
 
Kate Sullivan will play Lacrosse at Depauw University. The Division 3 Depauw Tigers compete in the North Coast Athletic Conference. Kate will play her games next season in the Reavis Stadium in Green Castle, Indiana. 
 
Kate is the proud daughter of Paul and Linnell Sullivan and resides in Anderson. Kate is in her fourth year of lacrosse, playing varsity for the past three years. 
 
Kate’s SUA Awards and Accomplishments include the Bulldog Award for field hockey, captain senior year in field hockey, and captain junior year in lacrosse. 
 
Kate’s GGCL Awards and accomplishments include First-team GGCL lacrosse sophomore year and field hockey senior year, second-team GGCL lacrosse junior year, and field hockey junior year. Kate’s team won a club tournament in 2019.
 
Kate’s SUA Clubs and Outreach include SFA, SOS, and Roll Hill Girls Club.
 
Mollie Finley will play soccer next season for the NAIA Benedictine College. As a Raven, she will compete in the Heart Conference. Mollie will play her games in the Murphy Recreation Center in Atchison, Kansas.  
 
Mollie is the proud daughter of Dan and Katie Finley and resides in Westwood. 
At SUA, she played three years of SUA soccer; 2 years on JVA and 1 year on Varsity. 
She played four years of SUA basketball; all four years on Varsity. 
In the GGCL, she was named second team all GGCL for basketball senior year and led the GGCL in steals senior year of basketball. 
With her club team, Mollie’s team was 2020-2021 OSSL league champs, 2021 Presidents Cup Runner-Up, 2022 Crossroads Showcase Champion, and 2023 Baltimore Mania Champions. She was named team captain freshman, sophomore, and senior years. She was the top goal scorer each season on her team for the last 7 years. 
 
She earned second honors all 4 years. She is a member of the National Honor Society, co-leader of the Bulldog Boost coffee shop, member of SUA Literary Society, and an active member of Campus Ministry Council club. 
 
Audrey Leurck will row next season for Division 1 Princeton University. Princeton competes in the Ivy League.  As a Tiger, Audrey will compete in her races at the Shea Rowing Center on Lake Carnegie in Princeton, New Jersey. 
 
Audrey is the proud daughter of David and Katherine Leurck and resides in Hyde Park.
 
Audrey also played basketball her freshman year.  
 
Her rowing awards are impressive. Audrey medaled the past three years at Midwest Regional Championship, taking gold in 2023. She has received over 30 metals from a wide range of state races in Tennessee, New York, Ohio, Indiana, and Sarasota, Florida.
 
With the Cincinnati Junior Rowing Club (CJRC), she has qualified for nationals the past 3 years, achieving a top 10 national ranking each year. 
She was chosen in 2023 to join the US National Women’s Team and trained at the Olympic Training Center in California before competing at the World Championship in Paris, France!

 At Saint Ursula, she is a member of the Girls’ Athletic Association (GAA), is actively involved in the National Honor Society, and is a Saint Ursula Ambassador. She is also involved in Campus Ministry Council, Hands Across Campus and SALT.
 
Sydney Herr will swim next season at Texas Christian University (TCU) located in Fort Worth, Texas. TCU is a Division 1 school that competes in the Big 12 Conference. Sydney will call the University Rec Center her home while she competes for the Horned Frogs. 
 
Sydney is the proud daughter of Jeff and Heather Herr and resides in North Avondale.  
 
Sydney swam for the Bulldogs for all four years. She was a co-captain her senior year and a 4-year State Swimmer!
 
Her SUA Awards and Accomplishments include the Tami Naber Award and the Bulldog Award. 
 
Sydney’s GGCL Awards and Accomplishments include being named GGCL First Team all 4 years and Swimmer of the Week. 
 
Sydney has earned a ranking as an All-American Swimmer and is nationally recognized. She is a Cincinnati Marlins National Swimmer and Future’s Qualifier
 
At Saint Ursula, Sydney is a Saint Ursula Academy Ambassador and Students to Future Alumnae (SFA) advocate.
 
Emily Jennewein will play tennis next season for the Division 2 Florida Southern College. While playing for the Mocks, she will compete in the Sunshine State Conference. Emily will play her matches next season in the Wayne Warden Tennis Center in Lakeland, Florida.  
 
Emily is the proud daughter of John and Sophie and resides in Mariemont. 
 
Emily played for Saint Ursula’s Varsity A tennis team all four years. She was a district qualifier 3x (2x for doubles, 1x for singles), and a 2x state qualifier (1x doubles and 1x singles.)
 
She earned first honors all four years and won the Bulldog Award as a junior. 
 
In the GGCL, she was named First-team freshman through senior year, and was named Player of the Year in her sophomore, junior and senior years. In addition, she was named Cincinnati Enquirer tennis player of the week-2021-2022, 2022-2023, and was Cincinnati Coaches Pick 2022-2023
 
With her club team, Emily has won many United States Tennis Association singles and doubles tournaments ranging from level 6 to level 3. She also won a tournament in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association summer circuits. 
 
At Saint Ursula, Emily was a leader of the Students to Future Alumnae (SFA) club and a 
Military Appreciation Club member.
 
Aaliyah Rush will compete next season in track and field for the University of Kentucky. The Division 1 University of Kentucky competes in the Southeastern Athletic Conference (SEC). As a Wildcat, Aaliyah will compete her track meets in the Norton Sports & Learning Center in Louisville KY.
 
Aaliyah is the proud daughter of Shaneia and Chris and resides in Paddock Hills.  
 
Aaliyah was a member of the Varsity team for track and field and cross country for all four years and was selected as Player of the Week.
In the GGCL, she placed 9th in cross country and was named GGCL Player of the Week and Year in 2023, where she competed in the regional 4x2.
