Saint Ursula Academy Announces Four National Merit Finalists for 2024

National Merit Finalists

Saint Ursula Academy is proud to announce that the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC®) has named four SUA seniors as Finalists in this year’s competition. All four were named semifinalists in the fall.

They are:
Madelyn Edmondson of Clifton
Natalie Gockerman of Indian Hill
Rachel Reyering of Pleasant Ridge
Grayson Rohmiller of White Oak

Semifinalists submit supporting documentation, test scores, and records to confirm their academic status and qualify to move on as a finalist. They will be considered for 7,250 National Merit Scholarships worth nearly $28 million that will be offered later this spring. About 95 percent of the Semifinalists attain Finalist standing, and approximately half of the Finalists will win a National Merit Scholarship, earning the Merit Scholar® title.

“We are proud of these talented, hardworking students who have not only achieved the highest academic success, but they share their gifts and talents with the school community through their leadership and involvement in many clubs, activities, and service,” said Saint Ursula Academy Principal Kathy Restle. “We are confident they will each find great success in whatever field they choose to study at the college/university level.”

NMSC, a not-for-profit organization that operates without government assistance, was established in 1955 specifically to conduct the annual National Merit Scholarship Program. Scholarships are underwritten by NMSC with its own funds and by approximately 340 business organizations and higher education institutions that share NMSC’s goals of honoring the nation’s scholastic champions and encouraging the pursuit of academic excellence.
