Cincinnati, Ohio, February 26, 2015 – A night of stars and glam greeted nearly 400 guests who attended St. Ursula Academy’s largest fundraising event of the year, the SUA Ball on February 7, 2015. The theme for the 36th annual SUA Ball this year was An Evening Under the Stars.
SUA Ball chair-couples Dan and Shari Torbeck and Beth and Dave Zilch hosted the evening that began with cocktails and a silent auction followed by a gourmet dinner and live auction. Some of the big items up for bid this year included: fabulous trips to several luxury locations like Nemacolin Resort and the Ocean Reef Club, a mobile pizza party for 100, a trip to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, VIP packages for Keeneland, the WEBN fireworks and a Cleveland Cavaliers game, an adorable Cavapoo puppy, and so much more!
Guests enjoyed raffles, games and delicious food. They also enjoyed high-tech hand-held bidding that allowed them to track their bids and follow more items from their very own phone!
“This is such a great event. It’s a great way for families and friends of Saint Ursula to get together to have a great time while supporting St. Ursula Academy in such a significant way” said Liz Johnson, V.P. of Advancement at St. Ursula Academy.
The grand raffle items this year – a 2-year lease on a Rav-4 from Joseph Toyota or $10,000 cash. During the event, the winning ticket was selected. James Sunderhaus, father of Mary Claire ‘15, was the big winner for the second year in a row!
All proceeds from the SUA Ball go to the Academy’s general fund and help to support St. Ursula’s educational programming and provide aid for deserving young women. St. Ursula is grateful to each of the following sponsors for supporting this important event.

St. Ursula Academy is a Catholic, college-preparatory, secondary school for young women known for academic excellence and rich tradition.
