October 22, 2024 - Saint Ursula Academy students have a new opportunity thanks to a new partnership with Xavier University that will offer direct admission for Saint Ursula graduates. Direct admission allows SUA students to streamline the university’s enrollment process.
Class of 2025 seniors will benefit from this new partnership immediately as they apply for college this fall. As an additional perk, there will be no fee for the application to Xavier and all graduates will receive the $1,831 merit scholarship award. The scholarship amount is a reference to the founding year of Xavier University in 1831. Even more amazing, this scholarship will stack on top of all other merit scholarships the student earns!
“We know Xavier University shares our commitment to high-quality Catholic education of the whole person and we are thrilled to join Xavier in this partnership,” said Saint Ursula Academy President Lelia Keefe Kramer.
“We are excited about the opportunity to work even closer together as we shape young lives of faith, purpose, and impact. This added clarity in the college search process bolsters our hopeful outlook for an even brighter future,” said Scott Clyde, Vice President for Strategic Enrollment Management at Xavier University.
To qualify for the direct admission guarantee, Saint Ursula Academy students must graduate from SUA and maintain good academic and disciplinary standing. Applicants must also submit a formal application and all required materials in the fall of their senior year. SUA Counselors will work with students on the specific steps required to complete Xavier’s direct admit application process.
It’s important to note that this program applies to general admission to Xavier University. There may be additional application steps and requirements for entry into specific competitive programs like Nursing, Honors, Music, and Theatre.
“Saint Ursula graduates are women of faith, integrity and courage who leave SUA ready to make a positive impact in the world. We are proud of our strong academic record and honored that Xavier believes so strongly in our educational product that they will offer direct admission to our students,” said SUA Principal Kathy Restle.
