SUA's Leurck Named to USA Women's National Rowing Team

Midwest Rowing Champions

Saint Ursula Academy (SUA) is proud of rising senior Audrey Leurck ’24 (Hyde Park), who was selected for the United States Women’s National Rowing Team. She and Cincinnati teammate Angelina DiPaola, are among an elite group of athletes chosen for this honor. Audrey currently rows for the Cincinnati Junior Rowing Club and has seen great success with her teammates at the local, regional, and national levels.

The United States National Rowing Teams are comprised of 31 males and 31 females from across the country who have competed successfully at a high level. Audrey and the national team members will train at the Chula Vista Olympic Training Center near San Diego, California later this summer. Upon completion, boats will be sent to compete at Worlds in Paris, France, or the CanAmMex games in Florida. It is a great honor and our community is very proud to be sending two local girls.

“We are so proud of Audrey and all the hard work she has poured into a sport she loves,” said Saint Ursula Academy President Lelia Keefe Kramer ’77. “We look forward to following her progress and cheering her on at the national level.”

Audrey has already seen great success with her team, the Cincinnati Junior Rowing Club (CJRC). CJRC is a strong organization with excellent coaching dedicated to athletic development. CJRC's Varsity Eight boat just won gold at the Midwest Junior Championship in May and is heading to Nationals in Sarasota, Florida. The boat crew includes Audrey and two of her Saint Ursula classmates, Callie VonderHaar ‘24 (Mount Washington) and Lucy McGee ’25 (Mount Lookout).

“We are thrilled for Audrey, Callie, and Lucy and wish them good luck at Nationals!” said Kramer.

Best of luck Bulldogs!
