Cincinnati, Ohio, February 11, 2014 – St. Ursula Academy is proud to announce three student athletes recognized nationally as outstanding athlete scholars by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association. SUA Varsity Field Hockey players Katie Abraham of Indian Hill, Monica Glaescher of Indian Hill and Kenzie Corbin of Anderson Twp. were all recognized as part of the 2013 Gladiator by SGI / NFHCA High School National Academic Squad.
The High School National Academic Squad program recognizes high school seniors who have achieved a minimum cumulative, unweighted GPA of 3.5 out of 4.0 or the equivalent through the first quarter of the 2013-14 school year.
New in 2013, the High School National Academic Squad program is recognizing high school seniors who have achieved a minimum cumulative, unweighted GPA of 3.9 out of 4.0 or the equivalent through the first quarter of the 2013-14 school year. These athletes have been recognized as Scholars of Distinction. Kenzie Corbin was also recognized in this category as a Scholar of Distinction.
"These three athletes exemplify the very best examples of "student-athlete," said head Field Hockey Coach Sarah Catlin. "They are excellent both on and off the field, and the whole program is proud to call them SUA Bulldogs!"
