Saint Ursula Academy Celebrates the Success of the SUA Ball

It was a night filled with fun, food and friends, and it succeeded in its purpose to raise money for the students of Saint Ursula Academy. The SUA Ball 2019 was a great success as hundreds of guests enjoyed a festive evening, biggest fundraising event of the year.

Guests enjoyed cocktails and the sounds of the Saint Ursula Academy Vocal Ensemble before a delicious dinner catered by Funky’s. Silent and Live Auctions entertained the crowd, which walked away with some amazing items like a trip to The Masters, a Rooftop Party for 40, a Tent Party with the works, and highly coveted front row seats to Graduation, just to name a few.

“We work hard to offer the best educational experience for our students and to educate them to be women committed to building a better world, each in their own unique way” said Saint Ursula Academy President Lelia Keefe Kramer ’77. “We also strive to provide tuition assistance to students who qualify. It’s so wonderful to see so many people come together to support SUA and the girls. The impact of their generosity is significant.”

SUA parents Jessica and Tony Pedoto chaired the SUA Ball 2019 this year, working with Saint Ursula’s Special Events Director, Mary Ellen Vorwald. Many volunteers assisted with the planning and details, including hosting gift gathering parties, donating items for the auctions, volunteering to decorate and set up for the event, and so much more. Saint Ursula is also grateful to the many sponsors who supported the Ball.

“The volunteers and sponsors were incredible as they donated their time, creativity and resources to ensure the SUA Ball 2019 was a big success,” said SUA Ball Chair Jessica Pedoto. “We are incredibly grateful for each and every one of them and their support.”
