Caroline has an amazing story that inspired her to work on this project. She underwent a limb lengthening surgery in 2009 in West Palm Beach, Florida and established The Starfish Kids Project last year to provide support to kids at The Paley Institute. In June, she was able to distribute more than 100 Starfish Kids Bags to kids from around the US and the world who are undergoing complex orthopedic surgeries this summer. She’s hoping to expand the project in 2016 by doubling the number of bags (so she can include teens up to age 18) as well as organizing events and activities for the kids while they are in Florida. Caroline is so grateful for already receiving over $7,000 in support from 50+ individual and corporate sponsors.
