St. Ursula Academy Inducts 113 into National Honor Society

Cincinnati, Ohio, September 12, 2014 –  On Sunday, September 7, St. Ursula Academy recognized 113 students for their hard work, community service, and academic success with their induction into the National Honor Society (NHS) at the Harold C. Schott Gymnasium and Convocation Center.

The young ladies who were inducted into the NHS had to meet very specific criteria in order to gain membership.  Students must maintain a 3.25 GPA through their sophomore year.  In addition, students must complete 30 hours of community service yearly and serve in a leadership role either at St. Ursula Academy or within the community.

The new inductees bring the number of NHS participants at St. Ursula Academy to 179.  Grace Kelly and Leah Wolfer were selected by their peers to serve as Co-Presidents for the year and Clare Berding was selected to serve as the Service Coordinator for the 2014-2015 school year.  Elena Helmers-Wegman will serve as the Secretary this year.
