SUAVE Wins Overall Choral Award in Music in the Parks Competition

Cincinnati, Ohio, May 2, 2016 – The award winning Saint Ursula Academy Vocal Ensemble (SUAVE) is proud to add a new trophy to its collection. SUAVE scored highest overall in the Music in the Parks choral competition at Loveland Middle School on April 30, 2016, taking home the first place trophy.

SUAVE is a 9-12 member select ensemble that performs throughout the tri-state area and across the Midwest region. The members of SUAVE are:
Seniors: Catherine Besl, Dominique DiFalco, Monica Luebbers, Sarah Moore, Caroline Wall, and Gracie Willett
Juniors: Caroline Feldkamp and Sophia Heller
Sophomore: Sarah Geraghty

Following are Saint Ursula Academy’s results from the Music in the Parks competition.

Women's Choir -- Rating of Superior & 1st Place Trophy
Jazz Choir -- Rating of Superior & 1st Place Trophy
Overall Choral Award -- for scoring the highest number of points of all High School Choirs competing
Outstanding Soloists Award -- Catherine Besl of Glendale & Dominique DiFalco of Mason for "Unforgettable"

“The vocal talent of our students really shines under the guidance of our talented SUA Music Director, Kathy Backherms,” said Saint Ursula Academy Principal Craig Maliborski. “We see how hard each of these girls works to perfect her craft and we are very proud of each of these amazing accomplishments.”
