Tablet PC Announcement
We are excited to
announce an educational turning point in the history of St. Ursula
Academy.
On December 7,
2005 the St. Ursula Academy Board of Trustees unanimously approved a
resolution that a Tablet PC Program at St. Ursula Academy be initiated
in the 2006 – 2007 school year and that all students entering the Class
of 2010 have the Tablet PC laptop designated by the school that is
configured with all the e-texts and programs the student needs to
complete her school work anytime and anywhere.
In the next four
years, we will build this Tablet PC Program until all members of the
student body enjoy both accessibility to the information as well as
compatibility with the programs needed to complete their assignments
whenever and wherever possible. With this accessibility, students will
have immediate feedback when taking on-line tests as well as input from
their teachers as they are working on current assignments. More
information regarding the cost of the Tablet PC is enclosed as well as
other information that will be helpful in understanding the advantages
of placing a Tablet PC in the hands of every student in the class.
Provisions will be made to accommodate students who qualify for
financial aid so that they, too, have equal access to a Tablet PC while
they are students at the Academy.
