Saint Ursula Academy Announces 2014-2015 Theatre Season

Cincinnati, Ohio, September 5, 2014 – The Saint Ursula Academy Theatre department has released the names and dates of shows it will produce during the 2014-2015 school year. St. Ursula Academy theatre students, in conjunction with boys from local high schools, are excited to present Annie, The Director’s Lab Festival of One Acts, and Almost, Maine.

The cast is set following auditions for Annie, which kicks off the season on October 22 and runs through October 26. The role of Annie will be played by Sarah Moore of Villa Hills, KY. Rehearsals are underway and Allison Hinkel, SUA Theatre Director, is excited about the show. “Everyone loves Annie. We have some amazing talent at St. Ursula Academy this year and this is a perfect performance to showcase the acting talent of these young ladies.” Tickets for Annie will go on sale on September 22.

In addition to Annie, the theatre department will showcase student’s directing abilities through the production of “The Director’s Lab Festival of One Acts”. Students will be responsible for casting and directing a short, one act play. Several of these “one acts” will be featured on January 23 and 24 and the performances will be open to the public.

And finally, the St. Ursula Academy Theatre Department wraps up its season with Almost, Main, a composition of nine short plays that explore love and loss in a remote, mythical, almost-town called Almost, Maine. Almost’s residents find themselves falling in and out of love in strange ways. Almost, Maine will run March 26-29, 2015.

All shows are open to the public and ticket information for all performances can be found on the St. Ursula Academy website at www.saintursula.org.
