Cincinnati, Ohio - March 1, 2016 - The Saint Ursula Academy Dance Team finished its season with a big win in both the State and National competitions!
Saint Ursula was among 20 schools from seven states to compete in the Ameridance State competition in Beavercreek, Ohio on February 28, 2016. The team placed first in Varsity hip-hop, earning a bid to the U.S. Finals and winning state in Hip Hop.
The team placed third in the state in Varsity Pom, a category the team had never competed in before this season. Both dances achieved SUA’s highest scores of the season at the State competition.
“I am so proud of these girls. Not only did the hip hop team win State this past weekend, the girls also won Nationals with their hip-hop routine two weeks ago,” said SUA Dance Team Coach Taylor Rose.
The team performed its State and National Champion Hip-hop routine at last week’s recital and will perform again at the all-school spring sports pep rally.
