Saint Ursula Academy Tops #GivingTuesday Goal

Saint Ursula Academy Tops #GivingTuesday Goal

Cincinnati, Ohio, December 2, 2015 – Saint Ursula Academy is deeply grateful to everyone who helped SUA surpass its $40,000 fundraising goal on #GivingTuesday. #GivingTuesday is a universal day for “giving” to charitable organizations during the holiday season. For a third year, Saint Ursula asked friends to #ChooseSUA on December 1.

Generous gifts from hundreds of donors helped SUA raise over $44,000.00 in 24 hours for The Saint Ursula Fund! Each financial contribution made the day successful, but more importantly, all of the participation raised excitement and pride felt throughout our community on this special day. Gifts that support The Saint Ursula Fund have a powerful impact on the experience of every girl at SUA and remain the cornerstone of our annual advancement efforts.

The Saint Ursula Fund is essential to our continued growth and success as we begin our second century as a local leader in Catholic college preparatory education. Each gift makes it possible for Saint Ursula to maintain our excellent standards in curriculum development as well as to meet our day-to-day commitments; covering operating expenses such as building and maintenance costs, faculty development, and the unique supplies and experiences for students. It also allows us to provide scholarships to students in need.

“We thank everyone who supported the #ChooseSUA campaign with a gift, a prayer, or by sharing the information with others.” said Lelia Keefe Kramer '77, President of Saint Ursula Academy. “It’s important for our students to learn the importance of giving back by seeing all of the support for their school community.”

Saint Ursula Academy plans to participate in the national day of giving again next year.

Saint Ursula Academy is a Catholic, college-preparatory, secondary school for young women known for academic excellence and rich tradition.
