Hundreds Enjoy Summer Fun and Tours at Taste of SUA Event at Saint Ursula Academy

Cincinnati, Ohio – August 29, 2017 –– More than 350 guests sampled SUA’s new look at the Taste of SUA event on August 25. The free event kicked off a new school year and welcomed the entire SUA community, young and old, to enjoy a festive evening together on campus. It also showcased Saint Ursula’s three new projects! Student ambassadors led guests on tours of the newly renovated library/media center, theater and art and design wing.

The weather was picture perfect for the event, which featured food trucks and live music in the front circle driveway. Vendors included Andy’s Mediterranean, Fireside Pizza, Kona Ice, Nothing Bundt Cakes and Wicked Hickory and DFresh provided musical entertainment.

Courtney Ragland, current SUA Trustee and member of the class of 2005, said, “It was the perfect night to be outside surrounded by so many diverse members of our community having a great time. It was nice to take in the older elements of SUA that we have all grown to love, while touring all of the new spaces that were recently completed. I thought to myself how fortunate the current and future students are to be in such beautiful and functional spaces.”

The spaces were completed in early August just as students were coming back to school. They are the result of the successful Open the Doors capital campaign that raised over $6-million.

Ragland added, “Words and pictures cannot do them justice; I hope many alumnae will come back to see the improvements for themselves because it really shows how much thought SUA has put into re-purposing existing space while also giving students top notch facilities that will truly enhance their SUA experience.”

If you missed Taste of SUA, join us next year! Watch next summer for details of the Taste of SUA 2018!
