Parents of African American Daughters: P.A.A.D

Parents of African American Daughters (P.A.A.D.) was established  during the 2000-2001 school year, allowing African American parents the opportunity to become more involved with SUA. The purpose of the P.A.A.D. is to promote and maintain the interest of our African American parents in the educational and co-curricular activities of St. Ursula Academy. P.A.A.D. assists the St. Ursula community in providing cultural activities that complement the academic programs.

P.A.A.D.’s goals include:

  1. To help foster cultural appreciation
  2. To support the school’s diversity initiatives
  3. To keep communication between current students and alumnae open

P.A.A.D. commits itself  to being actively involved with the SUA community.  PAAD events include:

         - Make annual donations to school fundraisers

         - Host annual Black History Month Soul Food Sale

         - Represent SUA at the Queen City Foundation Independent School Fair

         - Assist Diversity Director in developing diversity programs/presentations for the entire SUA community
