St. Ursula Academy student ranks “Miss Showbiz” title

in Florida competition 

Cincinnati, Ohio, Sept. 6, 2006: 

St. Ursula Academy junior Morgan Milano received the first place overall award and Miss Showbiz title at the Showbiz National competition in Daytona Beach, Fla. this past summer.  Morgan, daughter of Michael and Leicia Milano of Milford, has been dancing since age four in several disciplines including ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, musical theatre, lyrical and modern.  In the past five years she has been dancing for Dawn Meyer’s Just Off Broadway Studio in Mt. Carmel and competing on their performance team for the past five years, for a total of eight years of competition including three in Connecticut prior to moving to Cincinnati.  Morgan was nominated as feature dancer for the Cappy Awards for her performance in St. Ursula’s production of “Steppin’ Out”, which also won the Cappy award for best dance ensemble.   


St. Ursula Academy is a Catholic, college-preparatory, secondary school for young women.  In 2002 the academy was recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as a Blue Ribbon School. The campus, located at 1339 E. McMillan Street in East Walnut Hills has been the home of St. Ursula Academy and Convent since 1910.
