Four St. Ursula Academy athletes sign letters of intent

Four St. Ursula Academy senior athletes participated in a signing ceremony for their national letters of intent for college scholarships to play sports on Feb. 20.  Lena Grote, daughter of Lisa Grote Zerbe and John Zerbe of Mt. Washington, signed with Indiana University (Bloomington, Ind.) to play Division I field hockey; Meg Mellott, daughter of John and Julie Mellott of Bridgetown, signed with Ball State (Muncie, Ind.) to play Division I soccer; Ali Whitehurst, daughter of Thomas and Cynthia Whitehurst of Anderson Twp., signed with The Ohio State University (Columbus, Ohio) to play Division I soccer, and Gabriella Wolf, daughter of Joseph and Antonietta Wolf of Bridgetown, signed with Eastern Kentucky University (Richmond, Ky.) to play Division I soccer.     


St. Ursula Academy is a Catholic, college-preparatory, secondary school for young women.  In 2002 the academy was recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as a Blue Ribbon School. The campus, located at 1339 E. McMillan Street in East Walnut Hills has been the home of St. Ursula Academy and Convent since 1910.
