Eight St. Ursula Academy athletes sign letters of intent

Eight St. Ursula Academy senior athletes participated in a signing ceremony for their national letters of intent for college scholarships to play sports on May 29.

Liz Coorey, daughter of Phillip and Laura Coorey of Bridgetown, will run on the Div. I cross country and track & field team at the University of Dayton. Cameron Kurz, daughter of Craig and Sondra Kurz of Hyde Park, will run on the Div. I cross country and track & field team at Loyola University. Megan Keating, daughter of Michael and Jane Keating of Hyde Park will play on the Div. I golf team at the University of Dayton. Stephanie Patton, daughter of James and Denise Patton of Anderson Twp., will play soccer with the Div. III soccer team at DePauw University.

Abby Peters, daughter of Daniel and Kelly Peters of Indian Hill, will play Div. III field hockey at The College of Wooster. Shannon Ridge, daughter of John and Shelly Ridge of Anderson Twp., will row with the Div. I crew team at the University of Pennsylvania. Molly Rohde, daughter of Stephen and Mary Sue Rohde of Mt. Lookout, will dive on the Div. I diving team at Southern Methodist University.  Meghan Shagena, daughter of David and Mary Beth Shagena of Anderson Twp., will run on the Div. II cross country and track & field team at Bellarmine University.


St. Ursula Academy is a Catholic, college-preparatory, secondary school for young women.  In 2002 the academy was recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as a Blue Ribbon School. The campus, located at 1339 E. McMillan Street in East Walnut Hills has been the home of St. Ursula Academy and Convent since 1910.
