Where:   St. Ursula Academy Gymnasium/Convocation Center – corner of East McMillan and Ashland

Cincinnati, Ohio – Nov. 3, 2006- St. Ursula Academy will sponsor its first Bulldog “Hall of Fame” Bash on Monday, Dec. 4, 2006 to honor its 21 Hall of Fame inductees.  Olympic Gold Medalist Heather Mitts, who also is an SUA alumna from the class of 1996 and a Hall of Fame inductee, will be the featured speaker for the event; and UC head basketball coach Mick Cronin will be the special guest speaker.  The 18 SUA alumnae and three coaches on the Wall of Fame represent sports that include basketball, cross country and track and field, golf, soccer, softball, swimming and diving, and volleyball.

 Says St. Ursula Academy President Judith A. Wimberg about the event, “St. Ursula Academy's tradition of excellence is exemplified in our history of athletic achievements. We are so pleased to bring back to our campus so many athletes and coaches who established the tradition of excellence that our teams build on today. Unveiling the Hall of Fame Wall gives us the opportunity to celebrate our past and gives us impetus for continued success.”

The evening’s events will include the unveiling of the SUA Wall of Fame at 5:00 pm; social hour at 6:00 pm, dinner at 7:00 pm, and program with speakers at approximately 7:20 pm.  For information about purchasing tickets to the event please contact (513) 961-3410 ext. 148. St. Ursula Academy is a Catholic, college-preparatory, secondary school for young women.  In 2002 the academy was recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as a Blue Ribbon School. The campus, located at 1339 E. McMillan Street in East Walnut Hills has been the home of St. Ursula Academy and Convent since 1910.
