Five St. Ursula Academy athletes sign letters of intent

Five St. Ursula Academy senior athletes participated in a signing ceremony on Feb. 7 at the school gymnasium for their national letters of intent for college scholarships to play sports on.

Lindsay Frey, daughter of John and Katie Frey of Sycamore Twp. will play Div. I soccer for the College of Charleston. Chelsea Haack, daughter of John and Teresa Haack of Amelia will row on the University of Louisville Div. I rowing team. Tori Huster, daughter of Stephen and Laura Huster of Madeira will play Div. 1 soccer for Florida State. Casey Mercurio, daughter of Mark and Jane Mercurio of Hyde Park, will play Div. I soccer for DePaul. And Ruth Retzinger, daughter of Gregory and Deborah Retzinger of Loveland will row on the Div. I University of Virginia rowing team.
 


St. Ursula Academy is a Catholic, college-preparatory, secondary school for young women.  In 2002 the academy was recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as a Blue Ribbon School. The campus, located at 1339 E. McMillan Street in East Walnut Hills has been the home of St. Ursula Academy and Convent since 1910.
