Presentation Assignment Sheet:
Roman Emperors 
Over the
next 1.5 weeks, you and a partner will become experts on one of the first 16
emperors of Rome. You will present your findings to the class on Monday or
Tuesday of next week.
Content Requirements:
- Birthdate/death date?
- When was he emperor?
- How did he become emperor?
- What wars did he win/lose?
- What are some of his
achievements?
- How was your emperor depicted
in portrait art?
- Include a coin with the
emperor’s face or achievements on it.
- Any crazy scandals or
personality traits?
Powerpoint Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 images of good
quality
- Give credit to the websites
you use! (include site under picture)
- Works cited (MLA style) must
be on last page
- You must use TWO book sources
minimum
- NO COMPLETE SENTENCES ON
POWERPOINT. SHORT, CONCISE TEXT ONLY.
- Make it attractive! Grab our
attention and hold it!
- Two Latin sentences must be
included that give facts about your emperor
- One must include a
subjunctive clause (properly used)
- The other must include an
indirect statement clause (properly used)
- You may turn these in before
Thursday for checking!
- 10-15 minutes of material
Presentation Requirements:
- Both partners must talk
- Notes are used as a guide, not
a crutch!
- Have students translate your
sentences on the spot
- Speak clearly and make
eye-contact!
- You will need to email your
presentation to jwilkey@saintursula.org
in addition to bringing in a cd copy. This is for your protection as well
as for posting presentations on EDLINE for study purposes.
Paperwork to turn in on day of
presentation:
- rubric handed to you today
(just one)
- printout of powerpoint slides
- 4 multiple choice questions
based on your presentation (with answers)
- 2 short answer questions based
on your presentation (with answers)
