TEAMS – As in past years we will have two teams consisting of Varsity and Reserve teams.

 

TEAM CAMP will be held  Monday, July 21, 2008 through Friday, July 25, 2008 from 12:00 Noon to 2:30 PM at Mercy HealthPlex.  12 ½ hours of intensive instruction on technique, strategy, and competition.  This camp is staffed by an all certified tennis staff with a student to pro ratio of 6:1.  The camp is designed for incoming freshmen through seniors.  The camp fee is $125.00, includes a tee-shirt and is due by May 9, 2008.

 

TRY-OUTS will be held on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, August 4, 5, and 6, 2008 and specific times will be announced later this spring.

Try-outs will meet at Sawyer Point tennis courts.  In case of rain, please contact Coach Joe Wilkerson at 513-233-6802 where a message will be left at this extension for exact time and location of the try-outs for that day.  All efforts will be made to hold try-outs at Sawyer Point and we will wait as long as possible to make a change in location.

STUDENT PARTICIPATION FORMS are required by July 1, 2007.  NO FORM IN HAND: NO PARTICIPATION.

ATHLETIC TRAINER – Cincinnati Sports Medicine supplies a trainer during the fall each day after school for three hours.

ATTENDANCE – Once the teams are picked, attendance is mandatory for all practices, scrimmages and matches throughout the season.  If you believe this will be a problem, please do not plan to attend try-outs.

PRACTICES will take place after school beginning at 3:30 P.M. at the Sawyer Point Tennis Courts and will last until 5:30 or 6:00pm.

PARENT/STUDENT-ATHLETE MEETING will be held Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at 6:00 PM in the SUA Gymnasium / Convocation Center.  It is mandatory that at least one parent and the student athlete attend this meeting.  If a parent cannot attend, please contact the athletic director at least 72 hours in advance.  ALL ATHLETIC FEES AND PARTICIPATION FORMS ARE DUE AT THE PARENT/STUDENT-ATHLETE MEETING.

MATCH SCHEDULE for the season will be distributed at the Parent/Student-Athlete meeting.  Changes will be updated on the SUA web site.
