Fine Arts

St. Ursula Academy offers full four-year programs in Art, Design, Theatre, Vocal Music and Instrumental Music, as well as a course in Advanced Placement Art History.

In January of 2007, the St. Ursula Academy Vocal Ensemble (SUAVE) performed Mozart's Requiem at Carnegie Hall in New York City, their fourth appearance on the stage in this prestigious venue. The St. Ursula Academy Symphony Orchestra (SUASO) has won consistent ratings of superior and five first place trophies in the Music Showcase Festivals competitions in Cincinnati, Aurora, Sandusky, and Knoxville.  Click here for SUASO performances for 2009-2010

The St. Ursula Ensemble Theatre (SET) presents two plays each season at the St. Ursula Academy Theatre, one of which features only freshmen and sophomores. The spring musical is presented at the Aronoff Center. In the summer of 2007, SET was one of 30 schools from across the nation to represent the United States at the International Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland. This is the second time that SET has been invited to the festival and St. Ursula Academy is the only school from the Cincinnati area that has ever been chosen. Art and Design students have won numerous Gold and Silver Key Awards in the annual Scholastics competitions. Students from these two programs are well-prepared for admission to prestigious schools including DAAP (Design, Architecture, Art & Planning) college at the University of Cincinnati, the Pratt Institute in New York, and the Savannah College of Art and Design.
