Admissions Procedures/Check List for the 2008/2009 School Year (click here)

Acceptance Procedures for the 2008/2009 School Year

1.  Two acceptance letters will be sent:

  • One letter will be an outright acceptance of the student into the incoming class.
  • Another letter will notify the student that she qualified for admission and will be on a waiting list.

2.  Acceptance, wait list, and non-acceptance letters will be mailed on Friday, January 9, 2009.  Students and parents will be invited to accept the offer of admission on Friday, January 23, 2009, by coming to St. Ursula Academy between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. with the required deposit of $600 and a signed enrollment contract.  Every student who receives an offer of admission will be guaranteed a place in the class. However, she and/or her parents must come to St. Ursula on January 23, 2009.  The Admissions Office will presume that a student who has not registered on January 23 by 3:00 p.m. has decided to relinquish her place in the class.  In the event that classes at St. Ursula Academy are canceled and that January 23 is declared an “official snow day”, the admissions office will be open to accept registrations.  We will also accept registrations on Monday, January 26, 2008 between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to accommodate those who could not turn in registrations because of bad weather.

3  Immediately after the number of acceptances is known at 3:00 p.m. Friday, January 23, 2008 the Admissions Committee will offer admission to students on the wait list to reach the desired number in the class.

Waiting List Policy for Admission to Freshman Class

A waiting list shall be established each year for admission to the freshman class. The waiting list will be comprised of all applicants who are sent letters specifying their waiting list status.  Students on the waiting list will be reviewed on a continuous basis as positions become available in the freshman class.  Often, there are more qualified applicants than room in the class and in this case a waiting list shall be established.
