Student Council Class Co-Presidents Job Description
- Represent
class to Student Council and Student Council to class
- Initiate
projects within the class
- Call,
conduct, and sets agenda for class meeting in collaboration with class
moderator
- Performs
duties of class officer (formerly homeroom rep) in appointed homeroom
- Appoint
representatives for special duties and is responsible to oversee the
completion of these duties.
- Attend
class officers’ meetings with class moderator at least once a month
- Collect
and turn in class funds to class moderator
- Post
minutes for class activities and keep calendar up-to-date
- Initiate
and conduct homeroom activities in cooperation with homeroom teacher
- Be
responsible for giving and posting information to homeroom from Student
Council meetings
- Attend
the five-day NAUES Student Leadership Conference in late June with the SC
Moderator as invited and the August Student Council Retreat
- Act
with integrity, enthusiasm, and to be supportive of all events at St. Ursula
Academy
Additional duties and expectations of all Student Council leaders
o
Set agenda and calendar
o
Wear special Student Council nametag
o
All Student Council leaders are required to attend Open
House in November, all Student Council dances and events and to support St.
Ursula concerts, plays, athletic events, magazine drive, Victorian Christmas,
freshmen orientation, etc.
o
Act as liaison to administration and community
o
Have power to initiate a committee
o
Work in cooperation with the moderators
o
Commit to the philosophy and mission statement of ST.
URSULA ACADEMY.
o
Be Familiar with the teachings of ST. ANGELA MERICI.
o
Lead by example.
o
Be responsible for opening day mass.
o
Support and attend all religious services.
o
Be Familiar with the Student Handbook.
o
Follow the uniform code.
