COMPUTER TECHNOLOGY
(Ninth Grade, 1 term, ½ credit, Required)
In this one-term course, the student is guided in incorporating technology in a variety of projects.  Emphasis is placed on developing expertise in the Microsoft Office suite of applications, with particular attention to word-processing skills.  The inclusion of the Internet as a research tool and a resource for additional information is a part of the material covered in all of the units.

ADVANCED APPLICATIONS
(Tenth, Eleventh or Twelfth Grade, 1 term, ½ credit, elective)
This course is a one-term elective, designed for the upperclassman that wishes to further her skills in Microsoft Office.  The student will learn to integrate the various MS Office pages, and spend more time gaining experience with Access, the database tool, and Excel, the spreadsheet tool.  Advanced techniques with PowerPoint are included.  Students will be very proficient with the MS Office Suite of tools when they complete this course.

COMPUTER PROGRAMMING 1 AND 2
(Eleventh or Twelfth Grade, 1 term, ½ credit, Elective)
These courses are one-term electives.  Computer programming classes are primarily for the student who enjoys learning more about how the computer operates.  We offer Microsoft Visual C++ as the language the student will learn.  This language is very current and appropriate for the student with strong mathematical and logic skills.  Programming 2 is a continuation of Programming 1.  A strong foundation of structured programming is built before continuing to more advanced object-oriented programming techniques.
