Annual Events

 


·        Canned Food Drive

An entire school effort to collect canned goods, toys, and blankets for those in need in our community and in Appalachia.

 

·        Coat and Mitten Drive

A drive for coats, mittens, gloves, and scarves for families in Appalachia and families served by the Su Casa Hispanic Center. 

 

·        Caring Corner

(Freshmen lead)  An annual December event in which children from the community have an opportunity to experience the joy of giving during the holiday season. 

 

·        Crayons to Computers

(Sophomores lead) A school supplies drive to benefit public school teachers and classrooms.

 

·        Dress for Success

(Juniors lead) A clothing drive to help the less fortunate with clothes to go to job interviews and look more professional.

 

·        Appalachia Giving Tree

(Seniors lead) A small tree with gift tags is set up outside the Dining Hall. Students and staff take tags from this tree that suggest donations of money, food, or gifts for families in Appalachia.
