RAISE

Raising African American Awareness in the School and Social Environment (RAISE) Mission Statement

To develop programs and activities that further academic achievement and communication among all students that attend Queen City Foundation affiliated Independent Secondary College Preparatory Schools.

RAISE History

Raising African American Awareness in the School and Social Environment (RAISE) was founded in the 1989-1990 school year by students from private high schools in the Greater Cincinnati Area. Students representing Cincinnati Country Day School, The Seven Hills School, St. Ursula Academy, St. Xavier High School, The Summit Country Day School, and Ursuline Academy held several meetings and identified specific areas in which sensitivity to and support for African American students were lacking.
