Parents

Parent Overview

Welcome, parents, to the section of the website just for you!  Find the information, opportunities and forms you need right here.

Saint Ursula Academy has a long history of strong parental support. Many gracious
volunteers invest numerous hours and talents towards making their daughters’
high school experience the best it can be. Their dedication has been a
tradition at the Academy and because of their generosity our students continue
to enjoy numerous opportunities. Our parents are partners with Saint Ursula
Academy in sharing the successes of their daughters’ high school career. As
such, all parents are invited to participate in the various auxiliary
organizations the Academy offers.

Parents' Club and Board

Parents' Board Officers 2016-2017
(L-R) SUA President Lelia Keefe Kramer '77, Treasurer Debra Osterfeld, Vice President Julie Stephenson, Parent Board President Laine Barresi, Recording Secretary Monica Dieckman, and Corresponding Secretary Sarah Wachter.

Welcome to the Saint Ursula Academy Parents' Club, an organization comprised of parents and guardians of all students. Our group takes an active role in organizing traditional and new events for both students and parents. We offer various ways for you to get involved and are governed by the Parents' Club Board, which is comprised of approximately 50 elected members, from  grades 10-12.

The Parents’ Club Board organizes and helps with approximately 22 events each school year and is an active group within Saint Ursula Academy. Some of the first term activities include the Freshman Parent Mass and Reception, Senior Bonding Canoe Trip, Meet the Teacher Night, and the Welcome Coffee/Meet the Counselors event. Some larger activities include events such as Open House, Staff Appreciation Luncheon, Senior Tea and Graduation.

All fathers, mothers, and guardians of freshmen are encouraged to submit their names for consideration in February of their daughter's freshman year to fill these positions for a rewarding three-year commitment. The Parents' Club Board meets the fourth Monday of each month at 9:00 a.m. to organize and chair activities and events in an effort to enhance our daughter's high school experience.

If a three year commitment isn’t something you are able to give, please consider signing up through The Parent Volunteer Network online in the fall to help serve SUA with requests for hands-on helpers for events requiring a short-term commitment. There are many opportunities throughout the year to help with and we welcome your involvement.

Volunteer Opportunities

There are many ways you can get involved during your daughter's four years at Saint Ursula Academy and beyond. Whether you have a lot or a little time to spare, there are many ways you can get involved.
