Portable Mic is needed (yes or no)
The portable microphones are the little black boxes that look like a
carry-on suitcase. The sound comes from
the little black box. This is used for large groups, such as
individual classes or clubs with a lot of members. The only set up necessary
is for it to be plugged into electric anywhere in the gym, theatre or
dining room. If one is used, the large sound system with the mixer
board is not necessary.
Sound system for Gym is needed (yes or no)
This is the
sound system that is usually used for mass and all school assemblies in
the gym where all bleachers are out. The sound comes from the
speakers in the ceiling of the gym. It is the big black box
with a mixer board that uses wireless mics for the podium or for a speaker to wear.
There are also 5 microphones that can be hard wired to
it. It requires a person to man the mixer board and a set up of
many wires to the sound system network and the mixer board. If
this is used, the portable mic is not needed.
